Big road trip for the family over Thanksgiving–3 days in a car from Chicago to Jupiter, FL! A long, but relatively stress-free trip, followed by a nice 5 days with “Grandpa Pfef” in the Florida sun. New pictures in the photo gallery, showing fun at the pool, as well as a side trip to the animal sanctuary.

My father-in-law–a giant among men. Why? Courtesy of his connections, I have two tickets to Game 1 of the World Series this Saturday.
To say I’m excited would be to drastically understate things. All of Chicago has waited a collective lifetime for this, tickets are scalping at upwards of $3K for the really good seats, and $1100 for the lousy ones–and I’ll be one of the lucky relative few actually at the game. I truly can’t believe my good fortune. Hopefully I won’t drop my camera …

Time for another facelift for the ‘ol website. Some significant changes however, along with the typical annual nip/tuck work…

CMS has moved from iBlog (absurdly simple to use, but very limited) to WordPress (every bell and whistle under the sun, lots of neat moving parts for Yours Truly to play around with.
Photo hosting has been completely revamped–the kind folks at Flickr will be hosting the actual photos, while the FAlbum plugin will provide a nice little access point through the blog. Click on the Pictures link on …
