Just back from our spring break trip to CT and NYC.  Great visit, wonderful to see our friends the O’Brien family again.  And beautiful sights to see as well…the photo goodness you’ve come to expect from me can be found here.  Enjoy!

Pesach began this evening and the Hogbergs were in fine form.  Mom provided a beautiful table and delicious festive meal as always.  The kids did much of the heavy lifting, helping to decorate with handmade holiday placemats, the seder plate was provided by Noah, the matzoh plate by Josh and we all enjoyed a boisterous, happy reading of the haggadah (bonus points for Josh’s fine Hebrew!)  Pictures here for posterity and your enjoyment.

Updates finally arrive here, in the form of the long-awaited “About…” menu item.  For the 5-or-so people who have been loudly requesting this for years, consider your wish granted; you may now start hectoring me about some other feature I’m missing.  You have my profound astonished respect at your persistence for this as well.
For the rest of the readership wondering why the fuss, it’s probably better to not inquire too closely.  Just accept this was an item of importance rivaling that of global warming and banking reform to certain highly-motivated …

My not-entirely-planned experiment in lengthy spacing between blog posting will, mercifully, be ending.  Thanks to you long-suffering folks who keep pinging and checking for updates, long beyond any reasonable expectation of satisfaction.

Hi all:
It’s been a very long autumn and winter here, with my father’s illness and passing. I appreciate everyone’s continual re-visits here in the hopes of getting the latest/greatest on the family goings-on. I’ll try my best to make up for lost time and keep everyone current going forward.

17 hours in two planes today. I now know what toothpaste feels like after being squeezed out of it’s tube. Routine in every respect, though, which was great.
On the ground around midnight 7/30 local time. Customs went smoothly, luggage took quite awhile (apparently they’re scanning everything coming in.) Hotel ride there just as promised–a quick jaunt and in. I have some pictures of my room up in the Pictures section. Yes, I’m badly lagged and have way too much time on my hands…

Back at last, after a long layoff. We’ve been having a great spring here at Hogberg Manor–outings to the park, Josh’s last day of preschool {sniff!}, plus a visit to Grammy’s house for her birthday and a side jaunt out to Wildlife Prarie Park, where we hung out where the buffalo roam
